António Abernú
PhD student in Media Arts at the University of Beira Interior. Master in Communication Sciences, Specialization in Communication and Arts from Univ. New Lisbon. He trained as an actor at the Centro Dramático de Évora – CENDREV. He attended the Aeronautical Engineering course at the University of Beira Interior, where he was also part of TeatrUBI. Participation as an actor at the International School of Theatrical Anthropology, directed by Eugenio Barba. He has a course in Marketing and Management in Educational Services and Evaluation of Cultural Projects and Activities, by Sete Pés. Held the 1st Young Directors Seminar at the Teatro Nacional D.Maria II, Lisbon. He is the founder of ASTA (in 2000), where he develops his professional activity as an actor, director and trainer until 2024. In 2011, at the invitation of the Library of the Faculty of Science and Technology of U. Nova de Lisboa, he wrote, created and performed: The man who wanted to be water (https://homemahgua.wixsite.com/teatro) – a theater show that promotes awareness of water and environmental issues. Today, the project has 3 texts; 2 theater shows; 1 Alternative Reality Game: L’Áqva; Thesis: Water, Art and Consciousness in the 21st Century | The role of technology in the flow of Nature; @gua_um digital tale - hypermedia animation - was integrated into the Electronic Literature Collection 3 | Electronic Literature Organization | Massachusetts Institute of Technology (https://collection.eliterature.org/3/work.html?work=agua-um-conto-digital); the Water Talks Conferences, which gave rise to a magazine Edition Roca Lisboa Gallery; the website: Video-Theatre + Water Quiz and awareness-raising actions about water among the school public. Guest speaker at the Water Challenges Meeting, 2018, Águas de Portugal organization.
Debate Theater Moderator, for 6 years at Usina - Intervenção Social, Lisbon, under the IPDJ. Coordinator, trainer and director of the ReciclArte project, ASTA Teatro, on recycling, climate change and social integration. Community projects Erasmus + TELL ME – Theater for Education and Literacy Learning of Migrants in Europe and TIM 1 – Theater in Mathematics; Creative Europe: Green Ethic's, by ASTA. Teaches Non-Degree Courses in “Communicating in Public”, Department of Literature, at U Beira Interior.
